How these figures are kept

As printed, on the day

Each point is a quarter's own figure from that quarter's release. When a later release reprints it, the later copy is kept but never replaces it, so every figure says what a reader could have known when it came out.

Placed, or held back

Every figure is traced to the annex, page and row that print it. A number printed in more than one place with nothing to settle which is held back: stored, but not shown as a value.

Corrected from the source

  • 1Q2024 releaseUnsold with planning approval, private residential and EC: 21,562Annex E-3 of the 1Q2024 release, footnote 1: 'As at the end of 1Q2024, there were 21,562 unsold units with planning approval'. The 2Q2024 release prints the same 21,562 as the prior quarter. The pack's 20,562 is B-1's 19,936 plus an EC figure (626) read from the OCR capture of the press release, which is not printed in any annex.
  • 3Q2025 releaseUnsold completed, private residential: 180Annex B-1 of the 3Q2025 release prints COMPLETED UNITS 155 (2Q/2025) and 180 (3Q/2025). The pack gives 17,029, the UNCOMPLETED UNITS figure, and its Cell Data repeats the uncompleted row under the completed label at the same position.
  • 3Q2025 releaseUnsold completed, private residential, 2Q2025: 155Annex B-1 of the 3Q2025 release prints COMPLETED UNITS 155 for 2Q/2025. The pack gives 18,498, the uncompleted figure.
